This year (2011) is the 50th Anniversary of the Kluane Lake Research Station.
Plan are being finalized for an open house, workshop and celebration at KLRS during the first weekend of August to mark this milestone and to open the new and renovated buildings.
All friends of KLRS and the Arctic Institute of North America are invited to attend and participate. Come have a
look, enjoy diverse dinner conversations in the messhall, and go for a walk on
the beach. On Saturday we will be
hosting a series of
presentations focusing on the research that has been carried out at KLRS over
the past 50 years and some suggestions for future research.
We are also looking for contributions to a multi media show (photos, videos, sound clips,
articles or a few words). These can be sent ahead of time to klrs50yrs@gmail.com.
